Cipher is seeking a Petroleum/Production/Reservoir engineer with expertise in hydraulic fracturing to join a multidisciplinary consulting team for a tender to evaluate a Coal Seam Gas (CSG) field.
The project involves assessing the geology and reservoir properties of an existing producing coal seam field, utilizing reservoir characterization and production history to make recommendations to the client for improving field production performance and increasing gas recovery.
The job responsibilities include reviewing and evaluating past hydraulic fracturing programs, as well as designing and conducting scenario analyses for future programs proposed as part of the field evaluation.
The ideal candidate should have a solid theoretical background in hydraulic fracturing and practical field experience.
Proficiency in hydraulic fracturing software is necessary for conducting modeling, and the candidate should be able to organize access to the required software licenses for performing the tasks at hand.
Please note that the project is currently in the tender process, and if successful, may involve a field trip.
