GeoStruct3D is a professional web-based desktop application for structural geology mapping and 3D fault modeling.
Users can import georeferenced geological maps, digitize fault traces directly on the image, and assign detailed structural attributes including strike, dip, dip direction, kinematics (normal, reverse, sinistral, dextral), and deep geometry types such as planar, listric, detachment, and sigmoidal.
Field measurements can be added as control points and linked to faults to constrain orientation and improve model reliability. The application integrates real digital elevation model (DEM) data to generate terrain surfaces, enabling accurate draping of geological maps.
The final output is an interactive 3D model combining terrain, fault planes, and control points, allowing users to visualize and interrogate structural frameworks in a spatial context. GeoStruct3D supports both UTM and WGS84 coordinate systems across multiple geodetic datums.
