GeoStruct3D is a browser-based application for 3D structural visualization, engineered to transform and project 2D structural data and maps into high-fidelity three-dimensional insights. No installation, no GIS license, no desktop software required.
‍Users can Import and georeference geological and structural maps and digitize fault traces directly on the image, assigning detailed structural attributes including strike, dip, dip direction, kinematics (normal, reverse, sinistral, dextral), and deep geometry types such as planar, listric, and concave.
‍Field measurements can be added as control points and linked to faults to constrain orientation and improve model reliability. The application integrates real digital elevation model (DEM) data to generate terrain surfaces, enabling accurate draping of geological maps.
‍The final output is an interactive 3D model combining terrain, fault planes, and control points, allowing users to visualize and intergrate structural frameworks in a spatial context. GeoStruct3D supports both UTM and WGS84 coordinate systems across multiple geodetic datums.
