Lead Reservoir Engineer | Sep 2022 – Nov 2025

Responsibilities:

  • Delivered reservoir and well performance studies (ECLIPSE, Petrel RE, tNavigator and PIPESIM) to support development decisions and integrated FEED design inputs;
  • Led technical supervision of an 8-month souring (H2S generation) study contractor: validated assumptions, performed QC of delivered compositional results (Reveal software), tracked progress, and aligned deliverables across internal departments;
  • Cooperated with the Construction and Engineering Departments, FEED and nodal-analysis contractors to provide consistent forecasts and sustainable operating envelopes for integrated field development design;
  • Developed an uncertainty and sensitivity analysis framework to optimize reservoir pressure maintenance design under geological uncertainty;
  • Supported reserves audit and classification aligned with PRMS requirements and delivered the report to key stakeholders;
  • Verified results of special core studies and interpreted SCAL laboratory data for flooding studies and relative permeability estimation;
  • Built team capability through mentoring and technical guidance to new employees.

Key Achievements:

  • Provided technical support and coordination with the contractor to reach an agreement with the local regulator (Ministry of Oil) on the use of an alternative cost-effective, industry-recognized simulator (tNavigator) for integrated reservoir simulation;
  • Eliminated human errors in the reservoir development team by automating schedule generation and reporting workflows (Python/VBA), producing ~100 simulation schedules per year and saving ~20 hours per week of manual effort through standardized outputs;
  • Built and technically screened 15 development scenarios varying drilling and commissioning pace, perforation strategy, pattern design, VRR control, and injection phasing, to support FDP decision-making and trade-off analysis;
  • Developed Python tools:
    • for modifying 3D grid properties to ensure compatibility of contractor models with the company’s standard,
    • for conducting nodal analysis of well performance (Streamlit web applications),
    • for the full scope of pre- and post-processing dynamic simulation activities.
